Interview with KTXT Promotions Director, Sammi Rana
For the 5th episode of my Music Podcast series, I chose to focus on Lubbock's music scene. More specifically, 88.1 KTXT-FM's involvement with improving the scene. Currently, our music scene has boomed more than just about any year I've been here. There has been a major increase in the quality and the number of bands that are traveling to Lubbock to put on shows. KTXT has been a major part of the increase, thanks mainly to the Promotions Director, Sammi Rana. He is very involved in both the station and with bands to get these shows to take place. We discussed how he is utilizing avenues to bring the bands as well as what listeners can do to help out the station's cause. We also discussed what he envisions for the future of the Lubbock music Scene. It was a very interesting interview and I think you will enjoy it. Keep Lubbock ROCKIN!!!

Nice job! Might check the sound levels of the intro music, kind loud but a good choice. Good interview and good questions. Good information about future bands coming to the area! I liked the visual element, maybe next time have a few more but it was good!
I agree with Patrick on the volume thing I definitely had to turn my speakers down. I think the production value in the interview was really good. I would have liked there to be more than just the 3 stagnant images. The information you got was really good.
Good job man, I have always liked the idea of bringing more music to Lubbock. The interview went well and flowed fine. Good pictures, but I might try to get more visuals next time.
the video was an itty bitty box. but the pics were great and the source was interesting. it was nice to hear a little about what ktxt is doing to bring in more talent to lubbock and learn how it all works prior to the concerts. maybe add a couple pictures of the bands he mentioned that had already played here this year.
I love that the music scene continues to grow in Lubbock. I have heard some pretty good bands out here. Again, good job on providing the info and all the KTXT is involved with. Try to throw in a little video of KTXT or some more pics. Good job.
You had a great topic; I love KTXT. I didn’t know the radio station brought in all these bands; you had a lot of great info in this podcast. I’ve never heard of Aids Wolf and the other bands you mentioned, but I look to forward to Nov. 12th.
Pretty good job. I agree that some parts seemed loud but I know it is better to have to turn it down than not to hear it well at all. A few more pics or videos would have been nice but overall good job.
I liked the intro and outro music. The interview was clear and very informative. The local music scene is growing everyday which is great. The pictures you used of KTXT were cool. The podcast along with the material covered turned out to be really good. Great job man!
